Austral
Construction is a specialised and national contractor for Australia’s
mining and port infrastructure projects. Well positioned in the market place,
Austral works as a head contractor for blue chip public companies as well
as providing a marine piling subcontractor service for major construction
companies. The Company directly undertakes a variety of construction
disciplines including earthworks, structural concrete and marine piling works.
Our
philosophy is to value-add on projects through the use of specialised plant and
equipment. This provides clients with a winning edge whilst diminishing projects’
overall construction risk. Often major procurement items are provided by our
clients whilst we focus on constructability and safety management.

has a reputation for quality in project delivery. This success is built
on the loyalty and experience of employees, consultants and advisers. Integrated Management Systems (IMS) engender a culture that leads to well
planned, safely constructed works built on time, within budget and with
due care for the environment. Austral’s capabilities are enhanced
through well presented and maintained specialised plant and equipment
from our Dandenong Head Office and Workshop facility. Responding to our increasing profile in Western Australia, Austral recently opened a satellite office in the Forrest Centre, Perth CBD.
We
offer clients a range of delivery options, from conventional project and construction management through to strategic project alliances. We believe in a collaborative project management style. Repeat business from an extensive list of clients is further testimony to a culture
which results in successful project delivery .

COMPANY HISTORY
Company
origins date back to 1979 with the predecessor company, Austral Piling
and Constructions Pty Ltd, which began as a small niche
contractor focussed mainly as sub-contractor to the building and civil
engineering sector on relatively minor works.
Austral
Construction Pty Ltd was formed in 1996 to give emphasis to the greater
scope permitted through organic growth and to escape the sub-contractor image. Today Austral is a head contractor to major
miners and port authorities around Australia.
Austral
Plant Services Pty Ltd also formed in 1996, was the result of accumulation of
significant plant and equipment and the need for the sensible corporate
management of these assets. Plant and equipment has increased significantly since the
formation of Austral Plant Services into a diverse inventory of
specialised equipment, much of which is unique. This enhances our ability to add value
and lower the risk of project delivery. Plant and equipment is mine
compliant as required for working within the Pilbara, Western Australia. Marine equipment is
registered and compliant with Survey requirements of AMSA
and relevant coastal authorities.
Austral
also hires major plant and equipment to the market
