Current projects ![]() State Water / NSW Department of Commerce Warren Weirs Upgrade NSW Construction of four river regulating structures and accompanying fish ladders on the Macquarie River and Tributaries. Substantial temporary works for construction of the structures in "dry" conditions sees the Macquarie River diverted via a 220m long, 36,000m3 excavated and rock beached channel and sheets pile cofferdams across the river. Temporary works have been designed to safely pass flood events of 4,000ml/day with no flooding of the works.
![]() Roads and Traffic Authority / Fairfield City Council Erosion Control Works at Orphan School Creek NSW This project, situated 25km southwest of Sydney, consists of innovative environmental improvements to Orphan School Creek at the crossing of Liverpool and Parramatta Transitway, under construction by the Roads and Traffic Authority of NSW. These works incorporate rock protection works on the upstream and downstream side of the Transitway for streamline flows and erosion protection of the banks, provision of fish ladders and fauna corridors for the safe passage of fish and animals as part of the NSW Fisheries requirements. All works were constructed under live creek conditions using various diversion methods and environmental controls, all to the onsite approval of the NSW Environmental Protection Authority.
