Erosion Control Works at Orphan School Creek
NSW

This project, situated 25km southwest of Sydney, consists of innovative environmental improvements to Orphan School Creek at the crossing of Liverpool and Parramatta Transitway, under construction by the Roads and Traffic Authority of NSW.

These works incorporate rock protection works on the upstream and downstream side of the Transitway for streamline flows and erosion protection of the banks, provision of fish ladders and fauna corridors for the safe passage of fish and animals as part of the NSW Fisheries requirements.

All works were constructed under live creek conditions using various diversion methods and environmental controls, all to the onsite approval of the NSW Environmental Protection Authority.
