Civil engineering works can be among the most difficult of projects to undertake. Although
civil engineering encompasses the discipline of building structures and facilities forming
part of our everyday environment, much of this is not seen on completion.
The challenges in execution of construction are often of the most demanding nature. Here
the skills of the engineers and workforce are tested through application of innovation,
expertise and experience.
Substantial structures are often part of heavy industrial projects such as in the
petrochemical and mining industries. Hydraulic infrastructure projects include ANCOLD©
water supply dams, pipelines, stormwater drains and sewerage systems. Bridges and tunnels,
roads and pathways are also undertaken. Austral is often involved in major earthworks, below
ground construction, reinforced concrete and services installation. In all of these aspects
Austral has demonstrated exceptional capability.
